So I finally filed, pro se, bk7 on Monday, my 341 meeting is set for 05/13. I could not have done this without all the help from this board and everyone on it – thank you! I have a few miscellaneous questions that I can't see to find answers for:
1) Mailing matrix – I forgot to include my car loan creditor on the mailing matrix! I did include it on the proper schedule and filed my statement of intention to reaffirm. Do i have to amend this or would it be ok since I will be m

Can anyone recommend a good BK [bk] [attorneys]
July 11th, 2011
admin I am trying to catch up on my bills and managed to do so on several bills but I have a few that I just can't seem to get caught up on due to high fees, etc. I need to talk to a bk lawyer. Still not sure if I am going to file, but I need advice. If you don't know of one, can anyone recommend a website where attorneys are graded?
Thanks

admin When a bk is deleted does it also delete all the tradelines that are listed as in BK?
Can you dispute individual tradelines that have been listed as being included in the BK?
Creditor Harrassment [creditor harrassment] [341 meeting]
July 9th, 2011
admin My husband and I filed last week. Our Attorney warned us that the creditors would get nasty with their phone calls. Well they have. They call us constantly. Thank god for caller ID. Now they have hit an all time low. they are somehow getting a hold of family members! That is the last thing I want. We have no idea which creditor it was because they used an unavailable status. does anyone have any ideas what I can do? or do we just have to ride it out patiently until we go to our 341 meeting?
Well we've decided [case senario] [worse case]
July 9th, 2011
admin to go ahead with the bk. Thank you for all your replys to my last post.
We unfortunatley will probably not make filing before Oct. 17 unless our lawyer says go ahead. We'll be talking to her soon. Hopefully we can pay her in payments and she hopefully will not ask for a big lump sum at the beggining.
Just for my own peace of mind at the moment can someone tell me what is worse case senario for waiting to file after the new law takes effect?
Here's a few stats for us: O
Could my parents file for BK with 200k equity? [debt reduction] [100k]
July 7th, 2011
admin Hello All,
My parents have debt of about $100k and have a house that has about 200k in equity. Is it possible for them to file for bankruptcy? They don't want to lose the house. My father works and owes about 400k on the house. They live in CA if that matters any. Also, would it be possible to sell the house to me then file for bankruptcy? I did some research about debt reduction and it looks terrible and there is a big chance of being sued.
Thanks ahead of time.

admin I know in a chapter 7 the "look back" time is 6 months prior to figure out your "income" is this the same with a chapter 13 or do they look at your actual current income for the plan?
How IIB Should look in your CR? [credit grantor] [experian]
July 6th, 2011
admin Hi, I was checking credit reports from 3 agencies doing all necesary first steps. Now I see that some IIB accounts are marked as "derogative" and some not. FOr example Experian says: IIB/Past due 180, or IIB/Charge off and "closed at credit grantor's reqiest" (potentially negative)
TU shows some accounts just "closed at credit grantor's reqiest" without negative.
How it should say for IIB accounts? Can they say "charge off", or "coll
